Continuation of work dedicated to the development of the sustainable district of "Baie des Rois" :
- The development and urban development of La Baie des Rois will be the result of 3distinct phases of work, namely the construction of platforms reclaimed from the sea, the servicing of land and the construction of buildings and equipment.
- The ChinaHarbour Engineering Company (CHEC), which specializes in maritime works and is mandated to build platforms reclaimed from the sea, has restarted work on the Port Mole area (zone 5) and the old fair (zone 1) (see map).
Indeed, these areas will eventually present a riprap that will serve as support and protection against waves.
- The works, which started in October 2022, will end respectively in March 2023 for zone 1 and in August 2023 for zone 5.
Development of a Wastewater Treatment Plant(WWTP)
In line with the green ambitions of the country, considered a leading global player in climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the FMCT designs the Baie des Rois project according to an eco-responsible approach. Indeed, a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is being built on the site. This equipment will make it possible to treat and recycle wastewater by eliminating pollutants before they are discharged into nature throughout the Baie des Rois district.
In total, more than 300 workers are mobilized on all the above-mentioned works around the Baie des Rois.
