Société de Garantie du Gabon (SGG) and l’Épargne et Développement du Gabon (EDG) have signed a portfolio guarantee agreement, an effective tool for sharing credit risks for Gabonese Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Libreville, 2 January 7, 2023 - The Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund (FGIS) is proud to announce the first listing of the shares of its subsidiary, the Société Commerciale Gabonaise de Réassurance (SCG-Ré), on the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC) under the name "ACTION SCG-Ré".

(Le Nouveau Gabon) - In order to promote the employability of young Gabonese graduates, the Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund (FGIS), its technical subsidiaries and the Masuku University of Science and Technology (USTM) are now bound by an agreement. A press release made public on June 16, 2022 by the FGIS, indicates that the agreement signed on June 3, 2022 on the sidelines of the USTM-Enterprises Forum, commits the FGIS to grant internships and recruit graduates of this technological and scientific university.

Libreville, Gabon, 19 January 2023 – On 18 January 2023, the Société de Garantie du Gabon (SGG) and the Banque Internationale pour le Commerce et l'Industrie du Gabon (BICIG) signed a portfolio guarantee agreement, a credit risk-sharing instrument to help support Gabonese Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund Investment (FGIS) was designated by the Council of Ministers on 13 October.

The Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund (FGIS) and its subsidiary RISE, an innovative financing vehicle co-owned with the Islamic Development Bank, announce, on September 1, 2021, the signing of the first pre-concession contract with the Gabonese State.

After its active participation in the creation of the first platform of African Sovereign Wealth Funds (ASIF), the Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund (FGIS) has once again distinguished itself internationally. Indeed, this entity became the first African sovereign wealth fund to join the Net-zero Asset Owner Alliance, an international group of investors created by the United Nations and committed to the transition of their investment portfolios to carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Société de Garantie du Gabon (SGG), a company dedicated to bank guarantees, an initiative of the Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund (FGIS), supported by its subsidiary Okoumé Capital, officially launches its activities. The approval obtained according to Order No. 066.22/MER issued on 2 November 2022 by the National Economic and Financial Committee allows, in accordance with the provisions set out, to start most of its activities in its core business.

The Facade Maritime of the Champ Triomphal (FMCT), through the project of the Baie des Rois, was awarded the prize for the best sustainable infrastructure project for its eco-responsible approach, at the AIFA forum, on February 7.
